Exporting from a Single Issue
Using the Xporter Selector
When Xporter for JIRA is enabled for a project, issue type and user, the Xporter for JIRA section will appear on the right side of the screen, as highlighted below. To export the issue based on a template, just select the template from the drop-down box and click button export.
Using menu option
Users can export the Single Issue using the Export menu, option "Xporter for JIRA".
Step 1 - Enable this option on Global Settings page (the second configuration option presented on image below)
Step 2 - First you should select the "Export" > "Xporter for JIRA" menu option
Step 3 - Choose your template and the export type format. Then click on "Export".
Step 4 - Wait for the operation to finish and click on the link to download your document.
Exporting from Multiple Issues
Using menu option
Users can export the results of a search filter using the Export menu, option "Xporter for JIRA".
Step 1 - First you should select the "Export" > "Xporter for JIRA" menu option
Step 2 - Choose your template, the export type format, and the option that allows you to break a page when changing Issues, Projects, Issue Types or Components. Then click on "Export".
Step 3 - Wait for the operation to finish and click on the link to download your document.
Xporter for JIRA Cloud
Bulk Exportations are limited to 1000 issues in Xporter for JIRA Cloud due to a JIRA Cloud limitation.
Using bulk change
Xporter for JIRA Cloud
Bulk Change is not available in Xporter for JIRA Cloud.
Step 1 - First you should select the issues that you want to export using a search filter and selecting the option "Bulk Change".
Step 2 - Select the option "Export Issues (Xporter for JIRA)"
Step 3 - Choose your template, the export type format, and the option that allows you to break a page when changing Issues, Projects, Issue Types or Components. Then click on "Export".
Step 4 - Wait for the operation to finish and click on the link to download your document
Exporting from Xporter Reports
Using the Navigation Bar option
When you have a template that only contains a JQL query or a JQL iteration you can now bypass going to an unrelated Issue to export it and go straight to the menu Xporter Reports.
Enable or Disable Xporter Reports
You can enable or disable this feature by going to the Xporter for JIRA Global Options menu and selecting the "Enable" or "Disable" option.
Step 1 - To get to the Xporter Reports menu, you should click the always available Xporter Reports button in the Nav Bar of Jira.
Step 2 - Choose your template and the export type format. Then click on "Export". Please keep in mind that only a template that has the Xporter Report Scope turned on will be visible in this menu.
Step 3 - Wait for the operation to finish and click on the link to download your document.
Exporting all results from Issue Search Screen (Current Fields)
Xporter allows you to get an Excel document generated with all selected columns(fields) on the Issue Search Screen.
To get the document you just need to search all issues you want, select which field you want to see and click on Xporter (Current Fields) from JIRA Export menu. See the image below:
The result will be something like this:
JIRA Service Desk - Customer Portal
Customers are now able to get their requestes printed on documents, if the feature is enabled. To get it working, the feature must be enabled on Xporter Global Settings screen and it must have at least one template configured with scope Everywhere or JIRA Service Desk.
A new action will be available on JIRA Service Desk actions section in order to allow user get a document.
Now, you just need click on Exporter action and after select the template and the file output desired.
