Introduction
Xporter is now available on JSD Customer Portal. If you want to export a template from JIRA Service Desk Customer Portal it will be allowed with Xporter Add-on.
The main goal of this page is to give you an idea of how to set up Xporter for JIRA Service Desk.

Users can export on JSD Customer Portal using the Export menu, but first should be attention the following steps to configure the Xporter Add-on.
How to perform
1) Configuring Global Settings
2) Adding template with JIRA Service Desk scope
The user must have, at least, one template with JIRA Service Desk scope associated in order to get a document in the moment of the export.

In order to perform the permission scheme for JIRA Service Desk, you should follow the next step.
On the Permission Schemes on the Xporter for JIRA administration section Add-ons page of the JIRA Administration, click on Permissions link and then you should see link Assign.
- Click on Assign on the Roles and choose de radio button Service Desk Customers
- Click on Assign on the Groups and Groups choose the radio button jira-servicedesk-users
If the user is Reporter and/or Participant he can have de access to the issue and he can export the template from Customer Portal.
4) Customer Portal
When the user access to the customer portal of a particular issue he will be able to export the document.
Future work
In order to maintain the consistency with Atlassian JIRA Service Desk recently updates, we will have the option to export documents from issues on Customer Portal which are shared for customers who belong to the same organization.
