Xporter is not compatible with Automation for Jira when Automation for Jira Lite is also installed
This feature allows you to generate reports with Xporter for each rule configured in the Automation for Jira application.
This integration allows the project and Jira administrators to generate a report based on triggers provided by Automation for Jira.
Where to find
Xporter is available under the Actions option.
Furthermore, Xporter will be under the Integrations section.
Scopes
Templates will have a new template scope available called "Automation for Jira" which defines if the template will be available.
Configuration
Template
After selecting the Xporter Action to complete the configuration, and adding the scope "Automation for Jira", you must also define the:
- Template
- Output format
- Filename
- Configure a new Action
Actions
Xporter provides two different actions and each of them will have their own specification.
Administrators will have the possibility to have more than one action configured to different receivers or to upload the document generated into multiple File servers.
Be aware, the filename can be modified on each action and it can be specified with a custom name.
Send the report generated by email
This action is responsible for sending emails with attached reports or rendering a template in the body of an email.
You need to enable the option to use the default body and your action will have the template rendered.
Upload File
Choose if you want to upload the generated document into a File Server.
Just pick the Server to which the exported file will be saved and after this, the administrator will have the opportunity to define the path in the filename.
Save
After choosing all the actions that will be performed, Xporter will give you an overview of each action with a description and the filename.
Furthermore, you'll be able to edit the existing actions according to your expectations.
Finally, click on Save and Xporter will create a new report when the Rule is executed
Info
Xporter only creates a new report if the configured rule returns one or more issues.
If the rule is Scheduled you should check the option "Process all issues produced by this trigger in bulk." You can find it under More Options
